Capital Communications’ president, Mary Trier, was honored at a ceremony at Rollins, hosted by AthenaPowerLink Orlando, on September 17, 2014. The event marked Trier’s graduation from a year-long program designed to increase growth and profitability of her business.
The ATHENAPowerLink® Program (APL) is an advisory program designed to provide guidance to women business owners whose companies are ripe for growth. Participants are competitively selected for the program, and once selected, an advisory panel is hand selected based on the needs of the woman business owner. Over a 12-month period, the selected members of the volunteer panel serve as mentors and advisors in the fields of banking, human resources, entrepreneurship, law, sales and others, at no charge to the owner.
“The ATHENAPowerLink program was an incredible experience that gave me access to some of the best professional minds in Central Florida,” stated Trier. “My panel coached me, led me, and helped me to grow as a woman business owner. I highly recommend this program for other women business owners,” she added.
Trier is also a finalist in the upcoming National Association of Women Business Owners’ Business Plan competition.
ATHENAPowerLink is now seeking applicants for the fall recruitment. The application deadline is September 30, 2014. Applications are available at www.athenaorlando.com or for additional information contact Joshua Snyder at 407-646-2446.
